Omonefe Oisedebamen Eruotor is a writer, singer/songwriter and speaker. She is passionate about the young ones who will become the leaders of tomorrow and writes pieces that can inspire change.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Literature from the University of Benin as well as a masters’ degree in Development Studies. As a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, she is poised to use her intellectual resources to inspire change.
After her first degree, Omonefe worked in the finance sector and event management but continued as a contributor to and editor of some publications, sang in the choir, wrote songs and drafted some manuscripts. After her professional truancy, she returned to working in communications (Public Relations) and writing (fiction and non-fiction). She has also published her first work of fiction, A Mile in Her Shoes, which will be followed shortly with another novella, ‘Worth Giving Up’. Her first single will also be released in 2019.
Her passion for inspiring change propels her to spread the message through blogging, writing articles and singing/songwriting. She enjoys speaking to young people and visits them with her book through which she instills positive values in them. She also organizes reading challenges for children to encourage the reading culture which is an important ingredient for raising great leaders, in a society where reading has declined greatly.
Omonefe believes that every word counts in making the world a better place and creating a healthier tomorrow for the generations following.
